Wollongong Antenatal and Caesarean Section Classes

Families in Wollongong and the Illawarra can join our antenatal and caesarean classes to feel supported, informed and confident about birth. Our classes are taught exclusively by Practising Midwives (and mums!) so you know you’re receiving information you can trust!

We know that there is more than just the birth, so there is a large focus on partners, postpartum, breastfeeding, bottle feeding and baby care (including the evidence behind how baby’s sleep).

Meet the Wollongong Team

Tori

Tori is a Registered Nurse/Midwife who is passionate about anything and everything related to pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond. You will find her in the birthing suite, where she finds it a privilege to be part of such a sacred time in a woman’s life. She has a strong passion for antenatal and postnatal education.

As a mum of two herself, she knows just how important education is, and believes that education is empowering and can make all the difference to your own labour and birthing experience.

Tori loves working with women and their families during such a special time in their lives, and supporting them in their transition to becoming a family.

Morgan

Morgan is a registered midwife, nurse & mum.

She has been a Midwife for 9 years, with 8 of those being in the Birth Unit.

Morgan believes being a midwife is such a rewarding job. She enjoys educating, empowering and helping families bring their new little family members into the world.

Nally

Nally is a registered midwife and mum from Ireland who’s been fortunate enough to have trained and worked in a stand alone maternity hospital which helped her grow her confidence in caring for and educating future mums. Nally then moved to Sydney in 2017 where she worked in another busy maternity unit.

Nally prides herself on being woman-centred and empathetic, giving the best care to women in labour and advocating for their wishes in a safe and research based manner.

Her favourite part of being a midwife is the fact that she gets to make memories for a living. Knowing the impact that she can make when she provides individualised care to new families is what keeps her enthusiasm and love for the job alive!

What our Wollongong clients say

  • Chris & Amanda

“I would give this class 10stars if it was possible
I’m a second time mum and as I gave birth in 2020 we missed out on prenatal classes first time around.
I wanted to be better informed and educated this time and am so happy we signed up. It was fun, seriously educational and gave me a lot more confidence going into this birth about my options and choices.”

  • Annie

“My husband and I attended a class in April and we left with so much useful knowledge and didn’t feel scared rather it made us way more excited to have bub! Since this class I have given birth and used many of the techniques shared including the birth comb, I remembered everything I needed even in moments during labour!”

  • Aliza

“Brilliant educator and midwife - highly recommend for evidence based education - you’ll walk away feeling empowered and excited for birth!”

  • Isabella

“It was my husbands idea to attend the One Mama Midwife antenatal class and I’m so glad he booked it for us! It was informative and empowering. No questions were silly and we loved the hands on elements, as well as meeting other couples expecting bubs at similar times!”
