Baby & Child First Aid Classes

Let’s be honest, do you actually know what to do if your baby starts choking, runs a 40-degree fever at 2 AM, or smacks their head on the coffee table?

That’s not the time to be frantically Googling.

This is exactly why we created One Mama Baby & Child First Aid. No boring classes. No old-school lectures. Just real, practical training that gives you the confidence to step up when your little one needs you most.

Our courses are taught by Practising Specialist Paramedics, and Practising Paediatric Nurses so you know everything is up to date, evidence-based, and exactly what the professionals use.

We’ll cover the stuff every parent needs to know from baby CPR, choking, fevers, burns, allergic reactions and more all explained in a way that actually makes sense.

Available in Sydney, Melbourne and online (coming soon), this is hands down the most practical Baby & Child First Aid training you’ll ever take.

Meet Claire

Sydney

Claire is a mum to 4 beautiful girls and a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of paediatric nursing experience. Throughout her career, she has worked across a variety of clinical areas within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and, more recently, within the Sutherland Shire community.

She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Postgraduate Certificate in Paediatric Nursing, and is passionate about helping families feel confident and prepared when caring for their children.

As a paediatric nurse, she has cared for countless babies and children experiencing a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. She understands how quickly situations can become overwhelming for parents and caregivers, particularly when faced with something unfamiliar or frightening.

She strongly believes that every parent and caregiver should have access to practical, evidence-based first aid knowledge.  She loves sharing her knowledge and experience, empowering families with life-saving skills, and helping to take the fear out of emergency situations.

When she’s not caught up in the busy nursing world you will find her playing taxi for her girls and their multiple sports, spending time with family, enjoying holidays and chasing sunrises/sunsets.

Meet Jess

Sydney

Jess is an intensive care paramedic with nearly 8 years of experience. Originally from QLD, she relocated to NSW in 2018 with her husband and has never looked back.

Owing to her experience, she has seen just how valuable basic first aid knowledge can be. Often, the actions taken in the first few minutes of an emergency—before professional help arrives—can make all the difference.

When not at work, she is normally by the ocean with coffee and a good book. She is also a proud aunt of two and loves spending time with her niece and nephew.

Prepared. Calm. In Control.
