North Sydney Antenatal and Caesarean Section Classes

Families on Sydney’s Lower North Shore can access Antenatal and Caesarean classes in North Sydney. Run by practising midwives, these sessions combine evidence-based education with real-world, practical advice.

We know that there is more than just the birth, so there is a large focus on partners, postpartum, breastfeeding, bottle feeding and baby care (including the evidence behind how baby’s sleep).

Meet the North Sydney Team

Meet Midwife Anna

Anna is a nurse, midwife, mother, and wife. She has experience across adult and newborn nursing, and multiple aspects of midwifery, from homebirth to caesarean birth. She has worked in two high risk hospitals which allowed her to support women throughout both high and low-risk pregnancies, and she even supported women throughout vaginal breech births.

Currently you’ll find her either on the antenatal ward or chasing after my son. She believes it’s an honour to play a role in the most transformative time in a persons life; the casual miracle that is a woman birthing a baby, and a part of herself.

She is incredibly passionate about antenatal education and ensuring that women, birthing people and families feel confident to ask questions, make decisions, and speak up. “After all, this is your story to tell!”

Meet Midwife Camilla

Hi, my name is Camilla, or some call me Millie. I am a Registered Nurse and Midwife and have been since 2015.

As a midwife, I have a love for the raw, beautiful reality of birth and the transformative experience that follows. I am dedicated to bridging knowledge and kind nurturing care; helping you as the woman, understand your body, your baby, and your birth options available. I believe in honest conversations, woman centred care, evidence-based care and the quiet magic that happens when women trust themselves.

Preparation is always the key. I feel lucky and honoured to walk besides families as they step into parenthood, feeling hopefully confident, powerful, and calm.

Meet Midwife Montana

Hi, I’m Montana a Registered Midwife and Nurse with over nine years of clinical experience. I am passionate about supporting and educating families during one of the most intimate and transformative times in their lives!

I have spent the past four years as a Midwife at a prestigious private hospital in South Australia, predominantly in the birthing unit. I provide evidence-based, empathetic care and advocate for women’s wishes during labour, ensuring care is safe, supportive, and woman-centred.

Originally from Adelaide, South Australia, I am one of five siblings and a triplet myself, an early experience that shaped her appreciation for family and connection. Outside of midwifery, I am a devoted auntie to five nieces, including three-year-old twins, and enjoy socialising with friends or anything outdoorsy - especially running and ocean swims.

What our North Sydney clients say

  • Jayde

“Wow!! My partner and I were completely blown away with this class! Not only did we gain more knowledge about birth and postpartum, we left feeling so much more confident and excited! Lauren is a wealth of information and makes the class so fun by lots of interactive activities and breaking things down so it’s easier to understand and sink in. As first time parents we couldn’t recommend this class enough for any Mama or couples out there that want to feel more prepared for this next special chapter in your lives.”

  • Amy

“Hubby and I just did our class this past weekend. We both enjoyed ourselves and Lauren was so informative. Really opened our eyes as first time parents to all the possibilities and options we have when going through birth and beyond. So glad we got the opportunity to attend and learn.”

  • Emily

“My partner and I really enjoyed our class a few weeks ago. We learnt a lot and walked away feeling confident that we could handle labour, birth and life afterwards. Lauren was easy to listen to and taught in a way that was fun and entertaining. Have already recommended her to other pregnant friends!”

  • Elysha

“Such an informative class with such great real life and practical information. As second time parents, it was so useful to learn all the new changes since our last birth and taught us so much more than our last hospital run class. Was such a beautiful space and included an amazing lunch and goodie bag!! Recommend it to all my friends!”

  • Adelle

“The class was incredible!!!! We learnt so much about birth, breastfeeding and bub! Lauren is such an amazing trainer, she made everyone feel comfortable, answered everyone’s questions, we had fun, and now feel so empowered for our birth. There was so much information for me and my support person. Plus the space is beautiful. Could not recommend the class more!”
